During the CNC machining process, it’s inevitable to discover some of the characteristics of a part. So, what are these characteristics?
1. First, CNC part processing offers higher production efficiency. It can process multiple surfaces simultaneously, eliminating many steps and saving time compared to conventional lathe machining. Furthermore, the quality of CNC-machined parts is much more consistent than with conventional lathes.
2. CNC part processing plays an irreplaceable role in new product development. Generally speaking, parts of varying complexity can be processed through programming, while modifications and updated designs require only a change to the lathe program, significantly shortening the product development cycle.
3. CNC part processing is highly automated, significantly reducing the physical workload of workers. Workers don’t need to operate the machine throughout the entire process, as they do with conventional lathes; they primarily monitor and supervise the machine. However, the technical complexity of CNC part processing is higher than with conventional lathes, and therefore requires more mental effort.
